What’s New!

9/16/24 – The Oakland Borough Water Authority (OBWA) with a partial grant and help from the Borough of Oakland, the Borough was able to give us part of federally funded money through the American Rescue Plan act OBWA was able to refurbish our water tank. This insures the residents of Oakland Borough that OBWA is preserving our quality water source. Statewide Aqua started the refurbishment of our water tank on 9/16/24 and we were able to be back and fully functional on 10/5/24. We want to thank the Borough and our residents for the patience during this time.

In January of 2024, the Oakland Borough Water Authority acquired a COVID-19 ARPA PA Small Water and Sewer Grant for $65,000 for the town’s water tank to be refurbished. As part of that grant OBWA was able to purchase a Regal Dual Tank Chlorination System.

The benefit to our town is that the two tanks automatically switch from the empty to the full tank keeping the required chlorine levels in our water supply.

Once again, we would like to thank the Oakland Borough Council for providing to OBWA the 15% match for this grant.
